sheet metal shears are ruggedly built to withstand years of
punishment cutting at full capacity across the entire useful
cutting width of 52". Of the three hydraulic shears we carry the
SH-5210 is the most powerful with a capacity to cut 10 gauge
thick mild steel, or 14 gauge stainless steel. Besides basic
metals the SH-5210 is perfect for cutting plastic, copper, or
brass sheets and much more. This piece of equipment comes
standard with high carbon chromium blades that can be resurfaced
ground periodically saving the fabricator a lot of money over
the life of the machine
The SH-5210 sheet metal shear is built using a simple design
that allows for ease of operation, that has a very rigid frame
allowing this piece of fabrication equipment to shear metal at
full capacity and produces no deflection in the frame or
shearing areas, meaning perfect shears every time. This model
uses a foot pedal control that allows this machine to shear down
when the pedal is pressed and retract when the pedal is
depressed. Since the machine is a 52" wide piece of equipment
there is no possibility of missed shearing on a 4' x 8' sheet. |
This electric sheet
metal shear requires electrical power supply of 220 volts,
single phase, 60 hertz, that allows this machine to fit in most
small and medium fabrication shops. There body consists of a
heavy cast iron frame with heavy 4 sided tool steel quality
chromium blades. The adjustable back gauge has a positive lock
and this machinery comes with table gauges and front arm
extensions. This piece of sheet metal shear weighs in at close
to 3000 lbs meaning that there is a lot of rigidity in the frame
construction that further reduces deflection throughout the
cutting and shearing area.
