moving from 1 to 200 tons on hard level floor surfaces without a track. Choose
from complete self-contained moving kits or individual Rollers with swivel,
swivel-locking, or rigid tops or attachments. Steel chain Rollers are available
for regular floors, nylon chain Rollers for delicate floors requiring
protection. Steering handles and other accessories and many modifications are
also available. When the load exceeds 100 tons, consider using a steel track
instead of a concrete surface. |

On all Hilman
Rollers!
Since 1953, Hilman,
Inc. has manufactured the Hilman brand load Roller.
Hilman Rollers are load Rollers used for moving heavy loads ranging from 1 to
1000 metric tons and beyond. Many Hilman Rollers are all steel, and operate
based on the principle of the recirculating chain. This chain is constructed
with a series of connected rolls that recirculate around a central load plate
set into a framework. The frame acts only to hold the load plate in place, and
can include a top plate to ease connection to the load.
|
| The rolls spread the load evenly on the load surface thus providing a larger
area to share the loading. The result is a low height, low friction, easy to
control, high capacity moving device. Hilman Rollers are used in industrial,
civil engineering, and heavy construction fields where they are used as
machinery dollies, load skates, slides, low profile wheels or casters, guides,
linear bearings of sorts, even heavy duty conveyors. They are equally functional
right-side-up, upside-down, or vertically and are widely used for permanent and
semi-permanent load moving or temporary one-time moves. |
