There isn't another lathe like this in its class. With a 14" swing and 42" between centers, it offers plenty of turning capacity. A Reeves variable speed drive lets you index between eight speeds, ranging from 450 RPM 360 degrees, has positive stops at 45 & 90 degrees and can be positioned anywhere along the bed ways for the most comfortable turning position. You can also index the spindle every 10 degrees for fluting and veining. Faceplates and chucks can be more readily removed by using the built-in spindle lock. You'd expect to pay big bucks for a package deal like this, but rest assured this lathe is priced right for you.

JWL-1642 Lathe
This is truly a magnificent machine, surpassing all others in its price range and category. The heart of this lathe is the electronic inverter, which enables you to operate at any speed between 0 RPM and 3200 RPM. The digital readout lits you dial in the speed you want-- it's that easy. The high/low speed change belt positions quickly. The headstock can be moved all the way to the end of the bed ways for easy outboard turning. The spindle indexes every 10 degrees, perfect for fluting and veining, and the built-in spindle lick makes it easier to remove faceplates. We've built two versions- a 115V, 1 1/2 HP and a 230V, 2 HP to match your power needs and electrical requirements.
