JET Lathe Cutting Tools

Sheffield, England, famous for its tool steel, is the birthplace of these superior lathe chisels. Traditionally hot forged, ground and fitted by hand, they hold an edge six times longer than regular carbon steel chisels. Since being introduced in 1992, these chisels have become favorites of woodturners worldwide.
They are constructed using M2 High Speed Steel and tempered to Rockwell hardness 62/64 for razor-sharp cutting and demanding turning conditions. They feature ergonomically designed Beech or Rosewood handles that are fitted with heavy-duty solid brass ferrules.

Designed by professional turners, our chisel selection represents a wide variety and includes many unique styles for those special turning applications.
