Transform A Smooth Drum Rhino 66 Into A
Padfoot Roller
Stone Construction Equipment, Inc. now offers a Drum Conversion
Kit for its Rhino 66 Vibratory Dirt Roller. The drum kit provides conversion of
the smooth drum Rhino 66 to a padfoot machine delivering the versatility of two
rollers in one; and increasing the number of job applications where the roller
can be put to work. The conversion kit features:
- Two padfoot drum shells that are attached to the smooth drum through 6
bolts.
- The bolts attach inside the pads, protecting them from wearing, bending
and shearing.
- An anti-spin system that prevents the shell from spinning on the drum and
also aids the conversion process.
- Two lifting eyes strategically placed on each shell for balanced lifting
and to aid in aligning the shells on the drum
- A unique dual-purpose drum scraper system that can be used on the padfoot
drum and reversed to be used on the smooth drum.
The kit can be ordered separately or factory installed. With the
addition of the conversion kit, the operating weight of the Rhino 66 increases
from 18,500 lbs. to 20,700 lbs. and the Total Applied Force increases from
44,241 lbs. to 46,441.
