No matter how well a pavement is designed and constructed,
it will eventually crack. If left unattended, cracks will
allow water, air and debris to enter the pavement
structure. Water can weaken the base material; air will
oxidize and age asphalt. And when it comes to sealing
cracks, preparation is the key to a successful job.
If done properly, crack sealing can add many years to the
life of a pavement.
Stow’s Random Crack
Saws are designed to follow irregular crack patterns
in asphalt and concrete surfaces.
The unit utilizes 8"
diameter, dry cut diamond blades in industry standard
widths to produce smooth-sided cuts to prepare
surfaces for proper crack filling.
Maximum straight line
cutting depth is 1 1/2".
The 3" diameter
vacuum port for dust control allows attachment of a
vacuum system for maximum dust evacuation.
Welded, unitized frame,
extra-heavy duty, sealed swivel casters, 8"
diameter rubber-backed real wheels, and twin row,
externally greasable bearings for easy maintenance.
Twin belts power the
1" diameter arbor shaft in a down cut rotation as
viewed from the operator.
