Van Mark Products, known throughout the industry for the
superior quality of its products and customer service, now takes a
revolutionary step in the design and performance of the modern bending brake
with the introduction of the Mark 1 Series.
The Mark 1 Series design represents a quantum leap in the
manufacture of bending brakes. The first true cam-locking system in the
industry, the Mark 1 features fewer parts combined with a rugged durable
design that increases on-the-job performance while extending the brake service
life. An impressive array of bending capabilities puts the Mark 1 in a class
all by itself.
The Mark 1 Series Bending Brake is the only brake on the
market able to handle both residential and commercial applications without
constant adjustments. Note: Contractor models M1260-M1460, along with
Commercial models M1261-M1461, each come with dual locking and bending handles
Heavy duty
performance to handle heavier gage commercial metals
The Mark 1® uses high
grade materials to prevent marring during bending operation
Van Mark uses the
strongest extrusions when making the Mark 1®, to provide years of dependable,
durable service
Key Way aligns cams,
reduces parts (no bolts, pins, etc.) and ensures consistent locking pressure
along entire length of brake, bend after bend
The strongest
Castings in the industry. A better weight-to-power ratio ensures better job
site efficiency and performance
Automatically and
simultaneously adjusts to any gage material inserted in jaws eliminating
multiple lock point adjustments.
Double journals with
self-lubricating, thermoplastic (UHMW) bearings at every lock point ensures
worry free operation in any climate
UHMW thermoplastic
locking pads out perform conventional materials as well as complicated
mechanical locking systems. They eliminate all metal to metal friction
At-A-Glance

Features/Specifications/Capacities
1. Arcuate Hinge
Design/Thick Hollow-Core Extrusions
The Mark II TrimMaster®, featuring new POWERslot™
technology, takes more of your bending energy from the
hinge axis and re-directs it to the bend itself. To keep
your brake bending
true for many years to come, thicker hollow-core
extrusions have been added. 2. Handle Plugs Do Not Hit
Ladder Rack Handles detach quickly for
transport while handle plugs do not hit ladder rack when
top loading. 3. Non-Marring Vinyl Strips
The Mark II TrimMaster® uses high grade polymers in the
vinyl strips to prevent marring of
materials during the bending operation. 4. Computer Designed
Components
Van Mark uses computer designed components, including
thicker walls when making the
Mark II TrimMaster®, ensuring years of dependable,
trouble-free service.
5. Full length Key Way Provides consistent locking
pressure along the entire brake with less parts to wear
out. 6. Aircraft Grade Aluminum
Castings The strongest computer
designed castings in the industry provide the basis for
the highest
bending capacities you can get in a portable brake.
7. Patented Cam Locking
System
Allows the brake to clamp onto the thickness of whatever
material is being bent and seldom, if
ever, requires adjustment (a claim supported by Van Mark
owners everywhere). 8. Double
Journals/Thermoplastic Bearings
Double journals with self-lubricating, thermoplastic
(UHMW) bearings at every lock point
ensures worry free operation in any climate.
9. Independently Adjustable
Wedges You may never have to adjust
your Van Mark brake, but if you want to, you still have
that option.

Note : The difference between the Contractor & Commercial Grade Van Mark Brakes
is that the Commercial Brakes have more "C" Brackets therefore
making the Commercial Models a more Heavy Duty unit for extreme
work environments
