Vertical Mill Drill VMD-40G

Every shop has a drill press, but not every shop has extra space to put a milling machine as well.  The VMD-40G mill/drill from Baileigh Industrial solves that dilemma.  The VMD-40G incorporates a 29 x 8 inch milling style table, that enables the operator to do more things that just the drilling function if the have the right tooling.  But in order to perform other tasks on the VMD-40G other things have to be changed to accommodate the extra load.

The VMD-40G vertical mill/drill press has a very wide column to eliminate flexing when milling or drilling at full capacity.  The base and column are made from a rigid casting adding to the strength of this 1-1/2 inch maximum capacity drilling machine. The gear driven head allows the machinist or fabricator to run tooling at the proper speed for each mill, drill or tap size available.  Running at the exact speed extends tooling life, something that can't be accomplished on other mill/drills.   The VMD-40G also comes standard with a coolant system, R8 spindle taper and a halogen light.
