Baileigh Industrial precision metal lathes are the perfect for anyone looking for the best possible fit and finish on their work.   Built to withstand years of use in any metal working shop, the PL-1440 features precision ground and hardened ways are further protected by a Turcite-B coating, which offers years of protection to the ways when under the most grueling turning conditions. The castings on the PL-1440 are unsurpassed for quality in the industry.

The PL-1440 has a 3hp motor that is powered by 220 volt three phase power.  This motor powers the head stock, which is filled with precision cut metal gears that are hardened for reliability and longevity. The PL-1440 precision metal lathe has 12 speeds that range from 40 to 2500 rpm.  This range of speeds will cover just about any application.

Feature packed, the PL-1440 precision metal lathe comes standard with a halogen light, a three jaw chuck, and steady and follow rests.  Another nice feature of the PL-1440 is that it has a factory installed Mitutoyo DRO (digital read out) for making precise cuts, included with the package.  All this make the PL-1440 a great machine for just about any shop.
