REVO 12|16 

The definitive midi-lathe, Lagunas REVO 12|16 encapsulates the prestige of Laguna in a small package. Featuring a Pulse Width Modulation system motor to maintain consistent torque at any speed, one step cam-action belt change with magnetic door housing, and a luxury banjo w/45 deg chamfered edge

The 1216 controls the 1hp DC motor using pulse width modulation. A big problem with DC motor control is torque in the low speeds, and you will find many MIDI lathes with the lowest speed of 250RPM and higher because of this. This is because the cost effect controllers introduce resistance into the voltage to limit the power, which reduces the speed but also reduces the torque at the same rate. PWM will deliver full torque across the entire speed range. This allows for tremendous torque in low speeds which is helpful when roughing and precision work. This also allows for outboard turning up to a 16 inch bowl on a mid-sized lathe.

Revo 18|36 Lathe 110 Volt

The First feature that will catch your attention is undoubtedly the ergonomic angled control panel made from anodized aluminum. The blue hue of the DRO along with the beautiful knurled control knob fitted with a rubber grip signals this is no ordinary lathe.The bed is made from steel which allows the cast iron headstock to travel incredibly smoothly. Steel is the preferred material due to its well known longevity and strength.

Electronic variable speed is obtained via a VFD that converts 1 phase input to 3 phase output, so even at low settings you will get an incredible amount of torque. The DRO gives you an accurate RPM readout at all times any fine adjustments are made electronically. Changing from high to low settings is made easy by using the quick release handle.The headstock and tailstock lock handles are situated on the back to eliminate any interruptions to your work flow. Ergonomically designed handles use a cam lock resulting in a firm feel with no deflection.
