Safe and dependable, Thern Big Red TA series personnel rated air winches are designed to move your most valuable cargo while withstanding the harshest conditions. With the capacity to lift up to 6,900 lbs. of personnel or 11,500 lbs of equipment, these personnel rated air winches are built to suit your specific task. Each winch is so customizable it’s like ordering a custom winch without the additional cost or lead times.

Our personnel rated air winches do everything from lift carriages carrying inspection personnel on construction job sites to pulling material pallets up to the platform for oil drilling operations. We also offer utility rated air winches to move up to 37,000 lbs of equipment.

Built to the highest quality and safety standards, Thern Big Red TA personnel rated air winches feature:

  • Precise control valves provide smooth, variable speed control of precision spotting and long lifts.
  • Manual band brakes for dependable holding capacity.
  • Welded steel frame captures both drum ends for optimal strength and security.
  • Planetary gears with a compact design and high efficiency gearing reduce power loss and heat generation while increasing service life. Gears operate in oil bath. Double lip seals keep oil in and contaminants out.
  • Marine grade epoxy applied with zinc primer for ultimate protection in harsh environments.
  • Wire rope assemblies are sold separately.
  • Meets ASME 30.7 requirements.
